This study attempted to analyse students’ perceptions of their learning profile before and after Covid-19.
There were 663 students of two educational cycles: grades 7-9 and 10-12. These were two different cohorts of students from five schools. The Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory questionnaire (Crick, Broadfoot, & Claxton, 2004) was used to understand how students self-assess their learning profile. This questionnaire contains seven dimensions: ‘changing and learning’, ‘critical curiosity’, meaning making’, ‘creativity’, ‘learning relationships’, ‘strategic awareness’, and ‘resilience’. The results showed to have different impact on students in grades 7-9 and 10-12, with the former seem to being more affected (means were statistically significant in more dimensions when compared to those in grade 10-12). The learning profiles have changed between the applications in both educational cycles – a higher percentage of students rated themselves worse in almost all dimensions in the second application. Nonetheless, ‘resilience’ in grades 7-9 and ‘creativity’ in grades 10-12 increased from the first to the second application.
