Research Impact: This research highlights the often-overlooked challenges faced by female Rugby Union players regarding contact breast injuries and exercise-induced breast pain. Research focusing on female athletes and female athletes themselves will benefit from this study, which shows a significant gap in awareness about the future risks and available treatments for such injuries. Only 24.7% of players feel comfortable reporting these issues, primarily due to a lack of injury knowledge or the perception that symptoms are not severe. This study underlines the need for educational initiatives and better reporting systems to improve health outcomes and promote early intervention.
