This innovative and research-informed programme is designed to equip future teachers with cutting-edge pedagogical strategies that foster critical thinking and active learning. With a strong emphasis on collaborative, evidence-based approaches, student-teachers will have an opportunity to engage with both national and international preservice teachers, creating a truly global educational perspective. UL’s PME Physical Education programme is a hub for academic and professional growth. Candidates will have the chance to contribute to and benefit from the university’s extensive research initiatives, exploring contemporary issues in education alongside leading academics and peers.

Application Deadline: February 28^th

Applications for the 2025 intake must be submitted by February 28th. Each application will be meticulously reviewed and shortlisted for interviews based on four key criteria:

1. Education and Awards: Showcase your academic achievements, including undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.
2. Relevant Experience: Demonstrate experience through substitute teaching, shadowing, or voluntary work.
3. Personal Statement: Articulate your educational journey, knowledge of Teaching Council requirements, and practical teaching experiences.
4. Application Quality: Ensure your CV is well-structured and that the Subject Declaration Form is correctly completed.

Your personal statement should not exceed two pages (Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 line spacing). Include a brief background on your academic path, insights into teaching your subject area, and concrete evidence of shadowing or voluntary work. Highlight how your experience and aspirations align with the programme’s ethos.
