Alan Swanton, is a Sports Performance Analyst at Sport Ireland Institute and has held this position since 2010. He works with high performance Irish athletes and is responsible for performance analysis service delivery across three core high performance sports namely Irish Amateur Boxing Association, Paralympics Ireland and Swim Ireland’s high performance centre at the University of Limerick.
Prior to this position, Alan worked as a Sports Technician with Coaching Ireland and as a Laboratory Technician in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences.
Alan has an Masters of Science by Research (University of Limerick, 2009-2012) and a BSc. Sport and Exercise Sciences (University of Limerick, 1998-2002).
