Graduate Profile: Lorna Barry (Strength and Conditioning Coach)

LornaBarryRoundLorna Barry is a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry. Her position within the Sports Surgery Clinic as a strength and conditioning coach involves working within the sports medicine department, focusing on rehabilitation of injuries, return to play and high performance training.

Lorna has worked as a strength and conditioning coach  in Rugby for a number of years and in the past has been involved with Munster’s Women’s Senior squad and men’s underage structures.
Prior to joining Sports Surgery Clinic, Lorna was part of the Rugby Canada strength and conditioning staff dealing with both men’s rugby union and sevens codes.

Lorna has a Master of Science (MSc.) in Sports Performance (University of Limerick, 2012) and a BSc. in Sport and Exercise Sciences (University of Limerick, 2005-2009).
