Dr. Deborah Tannehill – 2017 AIESEP Fellow

AIESEP is an international research association for sport pedagogy.  Each year the AIESEP Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding academic to:

  • Recognize their scholarly excellence in research in physical education, physical activity and sport pedagogy across the lifespan.
  • Recognize their excellence in professional practice in physical education, physical activity and sport pedagogy across the lifespan.

An AIESEP Fellowship Award was presented to PESS Senior Emeritus Lecturer Dr. Deborah Tannehill at a ceremony at the AIESEP 2017 Conference in Guadeloupe on November 9, 2017.   In recent years, PESS colleagues Prof. Ann MacPhail and Dr. Missy Parker received this Award in recognition of their scholarship also.

Professor Hans Peter Brandl-Bredenbeck (Chair of the Fellowship Committee and member of the Board of Directors of AIESEP) presented Deborah with her award.  In addition, several of the PESS staff were present in Gaudeloupe to see Deborah receive her Award.

Congratulations Deborah!
