Professor Robert E. Sallis “Exercise is Medicine: Connecting Fitness with Healthcare” (Video)

For those of you who missed Prof. Bob Sallis’s inspiring seminar on “Exercise is Medicine – Connecting Fitness with Healthcare” in July 2018,  the entire seminar is available to view below. This seminar was facilitated by MedEx UL and the Centre for Physical Activity and Health, University of Limerick and took place in the Clinical Education and Research Centre (CERC), University Hospital Limerick.

‘Exercise is Medicine global initiative that ‘encourages primary care physicians and other health care providers to include physical activity in disease prevention and when designing treatment plans for medical conditions.

Professor Robert E. Sallis is a family physician practicing at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, California, and Co-Director of their Sports Medicine Fellowship programme.  He is Past-President of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Chair of EIM, and Chair of the Healthcare Sector of the U.S. Physical Activity Plan.  He is also physician and spokesperson for the “Every Body Walk!” campaign.
