The Physical Activity for Health (PAfH) Research Cluster and the leadership team of Exercise is Medicine at UL would like to invite you to the launch of Exercise is Medicine at UL (EIM-UL) that will be followed by research presentations of recent and ongoing PAfH research.

Launch & Research Seminar Descriptions
Drs. Matthew Herring and Brian Carson and Professors Catherine Woods and Liam Glynn will launch EIM-UL with presentations of the foundations of the Exercise is Medicine® and Exercise is Medicine – On Campus® initiatives, the recent recognition of Exercise is Medicine – On Campus UL (EIM-OC UL) Silver Campus Status, examples of recent and ongoing EIM and EIM-OC research and service activities, including more detailed descriptions of the MedEX UL and MED-WELL programs at UL, and a progress report on establishment of the EIM Ireland National Center. Following the launch, there will be brief presentations of a range of recent and ongoing PAfH research, including:

1. The Walking in Schools Trial – Prof. Marie Murphy (Ulster University)
2. The Mitchelstown Study – Dr. Brian Carson (University of Limerick)
3. The Move for Life Project – Dr. Enrique Garcia (University of Limerick)
4. Meeting Physical Activity Guidelines and Mental Health in TILDA: Determinant Profiles & Trajectories of Change Across Time – Dr. Cillian McDowell (University of Limerick)
5. Ireland’s Physical Activity Research Collaboration – Dr. Joseph Murphy (University of Limerick)
6. The Active School Flag – Ms. Fiona McHale (University of Limerick)
