Physical Activity: putting a system based approach into practice

Systems based approaches are an innovative area of science with real potential for a positive influence, but a better understanding is needed. The Irish Physical Activity Research Collaboration  (https://i-parc) and members of the Health Research Institute (UL) are hosting a workshop around the topic of system based approaches and how they can be useful for the promotion of physical activity.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn about the systems based approach and develop an understanding of the multiple factors within the complex system of physical activity promotion. A combination of talks, interactive discussions and a panel discussion will be included on the day.

The event is suitable for all practitioners, researchers, academics and policy makers who play a role in the promotion of population levels of physical activity and have a desire to learn more about the systems based approach.
