Senior Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Biomechanics

The Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences is recruiting a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach, and supervise undergraduates and postgraduate research students, secure funding in support of their research agenda and publish in high quality scholarly outlets. The post holder will contribute to the mission of the PESS department in support of the priorities of the Faculty and University strategic priorities. It is expected the post holder will build an international reputation for research and attract high quality postgraduate research students to UL.
An appointee at Senior Lecturer will be expected to publish in high impact, peer reviewed journals, contribute to securing grants in support of their research agenda, provide leadership in biomechanics and sport and exercise sciences, teach/supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in sport and exercise sciences generally and biomechanics in particular. The appointee will have an established international reputation for research, the ability to attract high quality postgraduate researcher students to UL and will make a significant contribution to the research in sports biomechanics and sport and human performance. The appointee will also be expected to make a significant contribution to the various leadership roles within the Department and Faculty of Education and Health Sciences.
