A warm welcome to our new undergraduate students – prof giles warrington.

Now that the new academic year is in full swing and we are already halfway through the semester one, I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming our new cohort of undergraduate students starting in PESS who I had the great pleasure in meeting at the induction days and Team Building sessions run by Dr Liam Moggan.

This year sees one of our largest intakes ever of undergraduate students totaling 190 with 71, 73 and 46 starting the BSc in Physical Education, BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences and BSc in Exercise and Health Fitness Management degree programmes respectively.

We hope you enjoy your 4 years with us in PESS. The time will go very quickly so make sure you take advantage of every opportunity made available to you so actively engage with your programmes and participate in the wide variety of extra-curricular activities available to you both within the PESS Department and wider University such as Clubs and Societies. The PESS staff are here to support and help you so if you have any queries or need help and advice contact either your Course Director, Module Coordinator or student advisor assigned to you.

We look forward to working with you during your time in PESS. Wishing you all the very best for the 2022-23 academic year.

Giles.
