Research Impact: The results of this study shed light on the educational challenge of how to articulate the competency-based paradigm. To date, a prediction model on the proper inclusion of the competences in the educational curriculum from the teachers’ perspective had not been identified either scientifically or socially. Essentially, the teachers’ perceptions of the inclusion of the key competences in primary school around the midpoint of the scale suggest the need to improve the process of incorporating competency-based teaching. The prediction model checked points to the fact that these improvements to facilitate attainment of the purposes of education should be implemented in order of influence and relevance, first at the level of pre-service and continuous teacher education, secondly on the teachers’ functions, and thirdly at the level of curriculum content, objectives and evaluation
