PESS staff member Phil Kearney recently had a blog published by the Irish Sport & Exercise Sciences Association:
Phil discussed:
Why should sport scientists help develop athletes as critical thinkers?
Here are two reasons:
1. Today’s critical thinking athlete is less likely to be fooled by tomorrow’s spoofer.
2. Today’s critical thinking athlete is tomorrow’s critical thinking coach.
But that leads to more questions:
🏀 What do we mean by critical thinking?
🏐 How do we develop critical thinking?
