Research Impact: This article explores the career challenges that esport athletes may face, the unique skill-set they possess, and industries that could leverage this skill-set; challenging the scientific community and these industries to make this link. The purpose of identifying and discussing this link is two-fold. Firstly, we believe that through instigating this conversation, more post-career opportunities may present for esport athletes; a population known to often jeopardise career and educational opportunities to pursue a mostly financially unstable career in esports. Secondly, this article may wise up certain industries to a population of young adults with a unique and highly-desirable skill-set.
